Heh,i played this game about 40 hours first time, and even managed to somehow beat the ultimate boss(Planetary Conciousness).I still love this frickin game and i would definitely recommend it to everyone.
I discovered this and Exit Fate through the LP’s on LP Archive.org. after reading it for a second time. I got tempted into playing what I already suspected was a very good game. 15 hours in and 200 games of Hex and there’s something called plot as well. You really should do just a Hex spin-off game as a Magic player I’m loving Hex.
Have you tried other RPGMaker games to see if it’s only LS or if it’s a more global problem ?
Sadly, there isn’t much you can do if RPGMaker has a compatibility problem. Maybe launch the game in compatibility mode for a previous version of Windows ?
I’m not really sure how I found this site, though I seem to be in the same boat as everyone else. This game is a great throwback to everything great about jRPG’s. I was actually playing it and my roommate thought I was playing a ROM and his first thought was “Breath of Fire”. When I explained what it was, he got it and started playing. We are both in agreement that this is truly a example that a little coding, a lot of thought and a great story can entertain beyond the grandeur of graphics and a million dollar build team.
I found this game on accident, and its pretty darn good. My only gripe is one I got myself into, making me have to start all the way back at the beginning because I’ve come across a boss I don’t have the items to beat.

An excellent jRPG and the best “RPG Maker” game in my knowledge. A captivating story, an interesting battle system with tactical aspects and a lot of optional dungeons and puzzles.
Everything is well thought and well balanced.
Great work.
Great game, but I have one problem: after I win Saraswati in Stonewall Port, she doesn’t move in Enthalar. Something must happen for her moving in Enthalar or what?
If you just beat her in Stonewall port, she’s still far from going to Entalar. Pay attention to what she says after you beat her, it will give you a clue to where she’s going next.
After Stonewall, she goes to Lunei Village.
Can somebody tell me something about hex trading so if i trade wilhelm in the hex trading will i lose the tile and i can’t find the tile anymore anywhere if i do this?
Does this mean i can’t win the title in the hex game anymore?
Yep. If you trade a hex, you lose it. And character tiles are unique, meaning you won’t be able to find it ever again (except in a new game +).
You have to make a choice between using the tile to win better tiles, or to trade it.
Hey, first of all, it’s a very good game, well thought and done, BUT
It all is very similar to Final Fantasy VII. Lorenza, girl from a different race is chased by the government (or similar), reminds of Aerith/Aeris. Then a race that existet before “them”, a different cultura, reminds of the “Cetra”, also the Holy Land, which remind of, well, the “Holy Land”.
It is indeed a good game, but it has many ideas from FF VII, maybe also from other games ( I can’t tell, as I don’t play much).
Aerith wasn’t chased down by any government. Or by anything similar to a government, or corporation. Shinra didn’t really care about her. And FF7 had no holy land in it. As far as I’ve played the game, I’ve seen, so far, no similarities between Last Scenario and FF7.
I`ve played a lot of RPGs in my time, but few ever managed to grip me as yours did. The storyline is exceptionally well done and the amount of character development is astounding. While I have to admit the game was far too easy during most parts for my tastes, I still had a blast playing it and would replay it in a heartbeat. Also I adored the tiles minigame.
Today I`m gonna start playing Exit Fate and being the Suikoden fan that I am I`m full of anticipation anyway, but the fact I`m playing it after Last Scenario as well really makes me look forward to it so much more. Basically
I`m prepared to be blown away and that speaks miles of Last Scenario`s quality and execution.
I don`t know if you still make games, but I know I`ll check whenever I replay Exit Fate and would play any of them, commercial or not, in a heartbeat.
hello i am playing this game and i don’t seem to know which status change requires which status healing item or magic to remove some i only know how to remove when you are bling when it’s blinking yellow and remove poison any guide on status changes and which item magic heals them?
[…] more freeware RPG fun made with earlier versions of this package, you can’t go far wrong with Last Scenario, and the more recent Exit Fate, the latter of which boasts a large-scale strategic combat engine […]
Thank you, SCF. I must have said this earlier, when I played the game the first time. But anyway, thank you. Thank you for all those hours of exciting storyline. Thank you for the ending theme, which made me fall in love with Sanhora. Thank you for the game that is quite simple itself, nevertheless is of so much value for me.
btw, it helped me learn English more productively. And I also liked those German toponyms of the Northern Empire.
SCF, did you think of publishing this game on Steam ? Lots of amateur do this and I don’t see why you wouldn’t. The average quality of those games is clearly below yours.
Maybe try to create a revamped version that wouldn’t use RPG Maker, or get an agreeement with RPG Maker’s developers. I know the creator of the Blackwell quadrilogy obtained the authorization to sell his games from the AGS creator.
I’m sure it can work. There is so much in your games. I promise I’ll vote for them and buy them all (maybe not Call of the Underworld, but shooters aren’t my cup of tea).
At least do it before some fraudulous guy does it before you.
Hi. I found Last Scenario by an accident and I fall in love with it 😀 it’s wonderful game and I hope that You will some day become sort of profesional game making team 🙂
At TVTropes, someone mentioned a critical bug where if you enter Northbridge instead of returning to Southbridge after defeating the Beasts of Hell, the next dungeon (Raka Mural?) won’t show up on the map.
Which game is the Omega Theme battle music from? I think I heard it somewhere else, but I’m not sure where, and I’d like to listen to a version played with another soundfont.
I don’t know where it’s from originally. It’s one of the couple of tracks that I took from the old RPGMaker 2000 music set, but I know for a fact at least some of the 2K tracks were from other places (one of them was the theme from The X-Files…). It’s just called ‘boss3’.
By the way, is one of the dungeon themes (the one playing in the towers and Ether Well, I think) really a remix from the Wild ARMs 3 main riff, or is the similarity just a coincidence?
I can sort of see the similarity, but it’s probably just a coincidence. The specific track is “Farewell2” from the RPGmaker 2000 music, so it actually predates Wild Arms 3.
I believe I have given this game much praise on the previous site, but I feel I can never do it enough. This game is incredible! It’s right up there with the best SNES RPGs. Thank you very much again, SCF, you are a very kind and talented person!

The music keeps glitching out for me. I can play it for a while then the music stops, but i still hear the sound effects. Any ideas?
Have you tried other RPGMaker games to see if it’s only LS or if it’s a more global problem ?
Sadly, there isn’t much you can do if RPGMaker has a compatibility problem. Maybe launch the game in compatibility mode for a previous version of Windows ?
A fantastic labour of love, with a great story and well thought out mechanics. I’m sad to say goodbye after 40 hours. Thanks SCF!

Great…awesome..fantastic…I have no better word than that to describe this game. Thank you so much for your fantastic job.
Fantastic game.
It’s up there with the classic Final Fantasy games in my “nostalgic games” space.
Please, make more games like that, its was awesome!
I didn’t expected to play this game seriously, just wanna play for fun. Nah, how wrong i am… this game is totally AWESOME!!
Keep up the good work, i will always look forward for your next game.
This game is really REALLY awesome!! You surely must publish it on steam!
Actually you CAN legally sell games you make on RPG Maker. I don’t know why you don’t sell yours, but you should!
It’s the most wonderful game from my childhood,
Thank you for making it,
Hi. I found Last Scenario by an accident and I fall in love with it 😀 it’s wonderful game and I hope that You will some day become sort of profesional game making team 🙂
Gratulations, good work 😀
X
Is the game still available for download?
I like to try it but the download link seem to be down at the moment.
It seems to be working at the moment.
hi, do you know how to fix showing fonts in last scenario?
i use windows 7 ultimate
At TVTropes, someone mentioned a critical bug where if you enter Northbridge instead of returning to Southbridge after defeating the Beasts of Hell, the next dungeon (Raka Mural?) won’t show up on the map.
I went to Northbridge as soon as I could and I didn’t encounter any bug of the sort.
Awesome job guys. I hope you will make more of these. If you need a good RPG scenario email me I have tons of them.
Do stat-boosting skills like Bolster, Epiphany, Mental Booster or Skillraiser count as status effects for the purpose of Disenchant?
Without doubt the best RPG (from RPGmaker) I’ve played so far. And I’ve played lots.
Great game. good job
May I know who is the singer on the Ending Song ?
Some Japanese concept band named Sound Horizon.
mine too, i have to beat ultimate Castor 😀
Castor is easy… try beating the Planetary Conciousness 😡
…Yes, like I said it’s one of my favorites RPG games.
Fantastic game. Alongside both Final Fantasy and Diablo series, one of my favorites.

…Yes, like I said it’s one of my favorites RPG games.
